I am currently professor and chair of Classics, Archaeology, and Religion at Mizzou. My expertise is in Roman architecture and urbanism. I direct the Gabii Project, an award-winning international initiative centered on the exploration of the ancient Latin town of Gabii, Rome's nearest neighbor.
My educational background includes a PhD in Classical Art And Archaeology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (2013), and degrees from the Scuola di Specializzazione in Archeologia at Matera (MA, 2006) and Sapienza University of Rome (BA, 2002).
Prior to joining the MU faculty in 2015, I held postdoctoral fellowships at the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology and the Freie Universität Berlin.
When I am not reading archaeology or planning collaborative work across the globe, I enjoy cooking and watching sports.
